Diwa Guinigundo and Ramon Dizon

MANILA – Billionaire tycoon Lucio Tan is bringing in veteran financial executives to the board of Macroasia Corp. to guide his three millennial grandsons in the board of directors.

The board led by chairman and CEO Tan nominated former Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Deputy Governor Diwa C. Guinigundo and former SGV & Co. partner Ramon D. Dizon as Macroasia’s new independent directors in the elections during its annual stockholders’ meeting on May 9.

Guinigundo and Dizon will assume the roles previously held by Ben Tiu and Marixi Prieto, who served as independent directors for over nine years.

Currently, Tan’s three grandsons hold significant positions within Macroasia: Eduardo Luis T. Luy as President and COO, Lucio Tan III as President of PAL Holdings, and Kyle Ellis C. Tan as Treasurer.

Macroaisa provides aircraft maintenance, repairs and overhaul services, in-flight catering services, airport ground handling services, and charter flight services at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. It also has interests in mining, water and digital services.
